You may request a Deletion from USCG documentation without first transferring the ownership of a vessel. If the request is made without a Bill of Sale, then the last owner of record will remain on the Abstract of Title. If a Bill of Sale is submitted and is eligible for recording then the buyer will be added to the Abstract of Title prior to Deletion from documentation. Once the Deletion has been completed the Deletion Letter will be mailed to the requestor.
