I recently purchased this vessel and wish to change ownership to my name, re-document the vessel, change the home port, and do a name change for the vessel. Which forms do I use for each procedure and are there multiple charges

There is only a single charge/fee to process an Exchange of Documentation that covers the change of ownership and change of name and hailing port.

In order to make any changes to the current vessel documentation (i.e. ownership change, vessel name and/or hailing port) a request for Transfer/Exchange will need to be submitted along with a Notarized CG-1340 Bill of Sale.  You may proceed to the webform for a Transfer/Exchange of USCG Documentation via the link below:

With this request, the documentation for a Recreational vessel will be updated for a single year with the option for a multi year renewal.  If the vessel is Commercially-operated, the documentation will be updated for a single year and will need to be renewed on an annual basis.
