The process of Documenting a vessel with the US Coast Guard may take 4-16 weeks, depending on the workload and backlog of registrations with the National Vessel Documentation Center (NVDC). There is no way to expedite this process, unless a Priority Request is submitted with the application, which is only approved in extremely rare circumstances.
