If the vessel is Documented with the US Coast Guard, you must request Reinstatement of the Certificate of Documentation if it has expired beyond 30 days. You may do so by submitting the application and fees via the link below:

NOTE: There are no additional fees or penalties for long-expired Certificates of Documentation. Current vessel Documentation is not required to process a Transfer/Exchange of Ownership.
