In order to add an additional owner/spouse to the Certificate of Documentation, a transfer of ownership document such as the CG-1340 Bill of Sale/Transfer of Interest will need to be completed and the box will need to be checked for the “manner of ownership,” along with the percentage of ownership being transferred which in this case would be 50%.
