FAQ: How Do I Find the Expiration Date of a Certificate of Documentation?

The expiration date of a US Coast Guard Certificate of Documentation CG-1270 is on the lower left corner of the front page. You may also find the expiration of a vessel’s Certificate of Documentation via the Coast Guard Port State Information Exchange (PSIX). You will be required to enter either the vessel’s identifying information (name, Official Number, Hull Identification Number, etc) to perform a search.
